Role Overview

We seek a Purchaser to join a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial team based in Collierville, Tennessee, with flexible remote work options. This position is pivotal in influencing product choices, nurturing supplier relationships, and supporting a dynamic, collaborative business.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture strong partnerships with suppliers to ensure product availability and drive long-term success.
• Analyze product assortments, market positioning, and pricing to steer purchasing and merchandising strategies.
• Collaborate with marketing to support promotional campaigns and select products for highlighted placement.
• Evaluate product mix and suggest enhancements to boost sales, competitiveness, and customer attraction.
• Conduct market research in the outdoor and knife sectors to spot emerging trends, new opportunities, and potential suppliers.
• Recommend new vendor and product opportunities aligning with company goals and customer needs.
• Work alongside leadership and cross-functional teams to advance merchandising objectives and wider business goals.
• Participate in planning promotions and purchasing approaches to enhance product visibility and commercial outcomes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of two years experience in purchasing, procurement, merchandising, or related product-focused roles.
• In-depth understanding of the knife industry or the broader outdoor product market.
• Experience coordinating suppliers, managing purchasing operations, or handling vendor relationships within consumer products.
• Adept at assessing pricing, product selection, and promotional potential using sound business judgment.
• Proven ability to work effectively with marketing, leadership, and internal teams in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated flexibility and readiness to contribute within a collaborative, low-hierarchy setting.
