Job Overview

We are seeking a Purchase Executive to oversee the sourcing, procurement, and management of fresh produce such as fruits, vegetables, dairy, and related operational items. This role requires close collaboration with vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely inventory replenishment for smooth business functioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure daily or weekly fresh goods including fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and meat.
• Purchase general materials such as packaging, groceries, and operational supplies.
• Identify, assess, and build relationships with dependable vendors and suppliers.
• Conduct price negotiations and contractual agreements to optimize costs.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate internally to prevent stock shortages or excesses.
• Perform quality inspections on fresh and perishable items at purchase.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records including invoices and documentation.
• Stay updated on market trends, seasonal availability, and price changes.
• Coordinate logistics for timely delivery of procured items.
• Address supplier-related concerns involving quality, quantity, or delivery delays.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• One to three years of procurement experience, preferably with fresh supplies.
• Proficient negotiation and vendor relationship management abilities.
• Understanding of inventory control principles.
• Familiarity with local fresh produce markets.
• Basic skills in MS Excel and ERP software.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality assurance.
