Public Policy Manager

Overview

We seek a skilled public policy professional with expertise in political and regulatory matters relevant to Meta's services, AI technologies, and products, specifically within the UK's legislative environment. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team addressing critical contemporary issues such as AI regulation, competition, youth safety, while advancing policies fostering innovation and economic growth. This full-time position is London-based, with a preferred start by late July 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing strategic policy approaches and narratives in collaboration with internal teams to fulfill corporate public policy objectives.
• Establishing alliances with external bodies including trade associations and other companies to support Meta's policy aims.
• Representing Meta in discussions with governmental leaders and parliamentarians.
• Tracking UK legislation impacting Meta and providing strategic advice on arising policy challenges.
• Assisting the Public Policy team with event planning, bilateral meetings, and administrative duties.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience addressing policy and regulatory topics such as AI, digital platform oversight, competition law, broad innovation policies, and youth protection.
• Proven ability to engage with politicians and government officials, including analyzing and conveying complex policy issues.
• Capacity to promote the societal and economic advantages of emerging technologies and Meta's portfolio.
• Complete fluency in English enabling effective engagement with UK political and policy stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across various functions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous involvement in UK political processes or legislative drafting.
• Skill in integrating AI tools to enhance workflows and achieve measurable improvements.
• Continued development and knowledge of AI capabilities, including prompt engineering and agent orchestration.
• Commitment to ethical AI practices such as risk assessments, bias reduction, and quality control.
