Project/Program Manager

Role overview

Rubrik’s Professional Services organization is hiring a contract Project/Program Manager for a 1-year remote engagement. This position is centered on operational coordination: turning unclear objectives into structured plans, keeping cross-functional work moving, and closing initiatives with minimal supervision.

What you will do

• Own internal Professional Services initiatives from start to finish by setting scope, milestones, owners, and timelines.
• Keep project plans, status updates, and dashboards current so leadership can easily see progress, risks, and next steps.
• Work closely with Professional Services delivery, operations, sales, and related groups to clear blockers and maintain momentum.
• Facilitate recurring program reviews and ensure action items and deadlines are tracked through to completion.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and staffing gaps early, then recommend practical options to address them.
• Capture decisions and process details so the work remains sustainable after the immediate initiative is complete.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in project or program management, preferably in professional services, consulting, or a technology environment.
• Demonstrated success managing several initiatives at once while balancing competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively in both written and verbal formats.
• Comfort working independently in a fast-paced setting where priorities may change quickly.
• Hands-on experience with project tracking and reporting tools such as Asana, Smartsheet, or Jira, plus the ability to turn data into clear status commentary.
• PMP, Agile, or a comparable certification is helpful but not mandatory.
• Preferred timezone: US Eastern or Central.

Additional information

This is a remote contract role with a stated duration of 1 year. The pay rate is $63–$86 per hour.
