About IAG Defence & National Security
IAG Defence & National Security (DNS) is a specialist advisory division within IAG, delivering expertise to complex infrastructure, Defence, and national security projects across Australia. Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join a Defence program in Canberra. The selected candidate will lead the management of project schedules and reporting within a complex multi-project environment, working alongside project leaders and delivery teams to ensure schedule accuracy, risk visibility, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules utilizing Open Plan Professional (OPP).
- Coordinate monthly project reporting efforts with the project team.
- Develop and sustain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and associated documentation.
- Identify project scheduling risks and communicate these effectively to leadership.
- Assist in planning and baselining activities for projects in approval phases.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a current Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) NV1 clearance or higher.
- Extensive senior-level scheduling experience with Open Plan Professional (OPP).
- Proven background managing schedules for major projects.
- Capacity to work onsite in Canberra at least three days per week, following an initial six months of full-time onsite engagement.
- Previous involvement in Defence project environments is highly advantageous.
Work Location and Schedule
This role is Canberra based, requiring a minimum of 3 days onsite weekly after 6 months of full-time onsite presence.
