About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead complex low voltage technology design-build projects, primarily in the Vancouver area with potential travel required nearby. This role demands someone who can efficiently manage construction projects valued at $5 million or higher and provide strong operational leadership and guidance for field teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of low voltage systems including security systems (video surveillance, access control, intercom, intrusion detection, RTLS), audiovisual setups, public address systems, and structured cabling for new construction projects.
- Develop and manage comprehensive schedules, resource allocations, procurement activities, project commissioning, and risk management tactics.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades to ensure smooth scheduling and project progress.
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, managing subcontracts as needed.
- Lead, mentor, and train both office and on-site staff to ensure high-quality work and team development.
- Regularly inspect project sites to verify installation standards and quality.
- Apply quality assurance processes to enhance client satisfaction and resolve issues swiftly.
- Deliver projects on schedule, within scope and budget while upholding superior quality standards.
- Communicate project status and escalate issues when necessary across all formal and informal channels.
- Identify problems during the project lifecycle and implement corrective measures to preserve profitability.
- Prepare detailed financial reports including cost forecasts, billing, receivables, payables, and working capital management.
- Implement best practices and standardized processes to maximize team productivity.
- Assess risks proactively and maintain a safe and healthy workplace environment.
- Manage project closeout activities such as as-built documentation, NOCs, and transition to service teams.
- Foster customer relationships to support business growth.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in electrical or low voltage construction industries.
- Experience managing large-scale, complex construction projects is preferred.
- Knowledge or experience in sales, estimating, or design is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks efficiently and handle multiple deadlines.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Capacity to pass pre-employment background and drug screening checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- PMI certification preferred.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and project management software like Bluebeam, Procore, or Fieldwire.

- Mobility including sitting, standing, and walking at office sites and construction locations.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds and work at heights exceeding 6 feet.
Working Conditions
- Office environment is clean, well-lit, and ventilated with low to moderate noise levels.
- Regular on-site presence at customer or contractor locations is required, including new construction sites and offices.
- Driving to project sites is part of the role with occasional overnight travel.
Compensation
The pay range for this role is between $70,356 and $108,658 annually, dependent on experience.
