About the Role
A corporate financial institution is seeking a Project Coordinator to assist with significant projects under the direction of a Project Manager or Program Lead. This position requires onsite presence 3 to 4 days weekly at the Downtown Toronto location with full-time hours over a minimum period of 6 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery across multiple cross-functional teams.
- Assist with project startup tasks such as gathering requirements, onboarding resources, and compiling documentation.
- Track and report on project parameters, including scope, schedule, budgeting, risk, issue management, and quality metrics.
- Organize Agile meetings such as PI Planning sessions, daily standups, and status updates.
- Manage dependencies between teams and aid in identifying and resolving risks and issues.
- Coordinate testing procedures, monitor defect resolution, and support remediation actions.
- Maintain dashboards, generate reports, and update project documents for stakeholders and leadership review.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience supporting projects delivered via Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Familiarity with tools including Clarity, Acumen, and Visio.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint for reports and presentations.
- Strong capabilities in project coordination, detailed planning, scheduling, and stakeholder communications.
- Ability to recognize, monitor, and escalate risks, dependencies, and issues promptly.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating effectively with both business and technology teams.
- Knowledge of SAFe framework and Agile practices is considered a plus.
