Production Supervisor - PCB Manufacturing

Position Summary

JB Enterprises is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations within its PCB manufacturing unit. The successful candidate will lead a workforce of around 20 technicians and operators, ensure timely achievement of production goals, uphold high-quality standards, and focus on improving operational throughput while enforcing safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities on the PCB production floor and manage manpower allocation according to the schedule.
• Monitor production output to consistently meet deadlines and minimize downtime to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Production Planning teams to regulate work-in-progress for seamless production flow.
• Supervise a team of approximately 20 operators and technicians, managing attendance, task assignment, and shift transitions.
• Address manpower challenges, onboard new team members, and maintain workforce discipline.
• Ensure products comply with IPC standards, monitor defect rates, and work to reduce rejection percentages.
• Work jointly with QA/QC teams to analyze root causes of defects and implement corrective measures.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S, and monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to optimize cycle times and reduce waste.
• Maintain strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and actively suggest continuous production improvements.
• Promote workplace safety by conducting safety briefings, ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and enforcing company safety policies.
• Implement comprehensive 5S practices across the shop floor to sustain compliance and cleanliness.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of prior experience in production supervision, ideally within PCB manufacturing or related sectors like EMS, SMT, precision engineering, automotive components, or plastic manufacturing.
• Educational qualifications include Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Production, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent fields.
• Strong capabilities in production planning, shop floor management, team leadership, and problem-solving.
• Hands-on knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Kaizen, 5S implementation, root cause analysis, and quality management systems.
