Role Overview
We are seeking a Production Operator to join our munitions manufacturing teams at Benalla and Mulwala. This 12-month internal secondment role involves performing a variety of routine, manual tasks on a 12-hour shift cycle within a highly technical and evolving industry focused on producing high-performance propellants, explosives, and guided weapons.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute repetitive manual operations involved in product manufacturing.
- Handle chemicals and raw materials responsibly and safely.
- Operate equipment securely and maintain caution at all times.
- Work collaboratively with team members, maintaining quality through adherence to prescribed processes and standards.
Experience and Skills Required
- Previous experience in a comparable position or operational environment preferred.
- Comfortable working within team settings under various shift arrangements.
- A strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Capable of performing physically demanding repetitive tasks involving lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
Security Clearance
This position requires an Australian Defence security clearance. Applicants must be Australian citizens eligible to secure and retain the necessary clearance. More details are available through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency. Individuals with certain foreign clearances may qualify for recognition. Compliance with the Australian Defence Trade Controls Act (DTCA) may impact eligibility based on nationality.
