Product Owner

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-focused Product Owner to join our expanding team remotely within Germany. This full-time, junior-level position is perfect for individuals passionate about understanding customer needs, defining product requirements, and collaborating across departments to produce valuable, high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Articulate and share the product vision, objectives, and priorities effectively.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather business and customer insights.
• Convert business demands and customer input into precise product requirements and user stories.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and customer impact.
• Work alongside engineers, designers, analysts, and other cross-functional team members.
• Develop clear acceptance criteria and ensure alignment with the development team.
• Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Monitor product development progress to ensure delivery as per requirements and set priorities.
• Collect and interpret customer feedback, market trends, and product metrics.
• Identify areas for enhancements and new functionalities.
• Support user acceptance testing to verify that solutions satisfy business and user expectations.
• Track product key performance indicators and apply data-driven insights to guide decisions.
• Communicate product status, priorities, and roadmap updates with stakeholders.
• Contribute to ongoing product refinement and advocate Agile practices.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Entry-level or junior experience (0–3+ years including internships).
• Degree or relevant experience in Business Administration, Product Management, Computer Science, IT, Business Analytics, or related disciplines.
• Understanding of product management fundamentals and Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Proficiency in gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing business and user requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to craft clear user stories and define acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) is preferred.
• Data-driven mindset, interested in product metrics and user behavior analysis.
• Effective collaborator in a remote team setting.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow professionally.
• Fluent English proficiency.
• Resident of Germany with legal authorization to work full-time locally.
