Product Manager - New Product Development (NPD)

About the Role

Become a key member of NEOM Wellbeing as a Product Manager specializing in new product development across categories including home fragrance, body care, skincare, and gifting. Based in our Harrogate office, you will handle products from initial formulation and packaging stages right through to retail launch. The role involves transforming market insights and sustainability-focused innovations into naturally fragranced products that support our brand pillars of reducing stress, improving sleep, enhancing energy, and boosting mood.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle management of new product and existing product development launches, ensuring timely completion of critical activities such as copywriting, design, legal approvals, artwork, sample creation, and testing.
• Contribute to the NPD Gate process and build a robust product development pipeline by leveraging market research, trend analysis, and customer feedback.
• Develop detailed product briefs and manage sourcing of components, packaging, and formulations through supplier partnerships.
• Monitor and drive commercial performance of product ranges, focusing on achieving targeted margins.
• Support strategic initiatives including exclusive product developments, limited editions, custom sizes, and collaborative partnerships.
• Coordinate product samples for promotional purposes such as photography, press coverage, and retail displays; prepare comprehensive internal Product Information Manuals.
• Advise on retail pricing strategies and prepare costings aligned with margin objectives and recommended retail prices.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years' experience in product development or a similar role.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget, including managing critical path activities.
• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Self-motivated individual who confidently presents ideas and tackles challenges proactively.
• Strong enthusiasm for product innovation, wellbeing sector, and the NEOM brand values.
• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
• Solid financial understanding including costing, margin calculation, and budget monitoring.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience in beauty, personal care, or home fragrance industries is advantageous but not mandatory.
