Job description
Overview
This fixed-term role is ideal for a product manager passionate about clarifying uncertainty and influencing how organizations manage ethics and compliance in an AI-driven environment. You will be responsible for a whistleblowing and case management platform used by major enterprises, collaborating closely with engineering teams based in London and Bangalore. This position offers the chance to innovate across employee reporting and AI-enhanced investigation workflows in a fast-paced setting. It is a one-year maternity cover contract with potential for extension or permanency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the product roadmap for a whistleblowing and case management tool (Vault/Speak Up), working alongside another product manager and a team of 6–12 engineers to define, prioritize, and deliver features.
- Partner daily with engineers to translate business needs into actionable development tasks, balancing speed and scope in a dynamic environment.
- Coordinate across an Ethics & Compliance product suite—including policy management, compliance training, and conflicts of interest—to ensure integration with the overarching product vision.
- Collaborate with product marketing, senior stakeholders, and commercial departments to share product progress and future directions.
- Innovate AI-driven product features, moving beyond backlog management to actively envision how AI can transform compliance processes.
- Quickly assimilate knowledge from the outgoing product manager and engage with a recently modernized platform.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3 to 5 years of proven product management experience in B2B SaaS, owning products from initial discovery through to delivery.
- Strong technical communication skills enabling detailed discussions with engineering teams about APIs, databases, and integrations, alongside the ability to present strategies to senior leadership.
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and the practical application of AI within products, discerning genuine value from hype.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and fast-paced work environments by proactively structuring processes and taking initiative.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of building trust, balancing competing priorities, and communicating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive mindset focusing on shipping, iterating, learning, and avoiding paralysis in pursuit of perfection.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience with Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), legal technology, or ethics and compliance software.
- Hands-on use of AI tools for product management, such as prototyping with v0, Claude, or similar accelerators.
- Exposure to working within geographically dispersed engineering teams, particularly between London and Bangalore.
- Background with whistleblowing, case management, or employee reporting platforms.
