About the Role
Meta is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead AI-driven product development within a complex product segment. The role involves working collaboratively with diverse teams including engineering, design, data science, and research to innovate and execute impactful product strategies at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a complex product domain, setting clear success criteria, prioritizing challenges, and identifying optimal strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
- Continuously refine strategies as learnings accumulate and contexts change.
- Create consensus on priority areas to maximize the impact within the product scope.
- Make informed decisions on when to begin or halt investments, especially in AI-related initiatives.
- Assess critically when AI solutions are appropriate, evaluating tradeoffs, risks, and consequences with depth.
- Translate artificial intelligence capabilities into powerful product visions that deliver unique value.
- Formulate and advocate AI-centric strategies including thorough evaluations and data methodologies to foster ongoing improvement.
- Lead cross-functional teams to define product visions, build roadmaps, track progress against milestones, solve challenges, and enhance team effectiveness and health.
- Identify and resolve dependencies by fostering coordinated strategies across related product teams.
- Reinvent operational processes by responsibly implementing AI tools to significantly boost team output and skill sets.
- Encourage a culture focused on rapid experimentation and organizational learning.
- Expand the adoption of AI best practices, responsible AI use, workflows, and related documentation throughout product teams to build cumulative organizational capability.
- Mentor and coach fellow product managers and cross-functional collaborators in AI-native methodologies.
- Influence organizational strategy and progress with partner functions, improving collaboration and resolving conflicting objectives.
- Synchronize execution across multiple initiatives by blending AI automation with strategic human oversight to reduce repetitive tasks while sustaining quality and accountability.
- Communicate product visions and developments with utmost clarity to all stakeholders.
- Utilize AI-powered tools independently to design prototypes, validate concepts, or deliver products.
- Leverage research insights and leading-edge knowledge to inform product strategy employing rigorous logical analysis.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of system and architectural tradeoffs affecting user experience and business outcomes.
- Lead credible technical discussions with engineering partners.
- Use qualitative and quantitative research, along with market analysis, to guide product decisions and shape organizational perspectives.
- Design complex experiments, analyze results with AI-enhanced techniques, and drive actionable product adjustments.
- Devise and execute evaluation strategies for interpreting model performances, adjusting approaches accordingly, and promoting evaluation as a core product function.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven expertise in leveraging AI-enabled tools to generate product deliverables.
- Proficient in integrating diverse user requirements and contextual factors into unified product strategies.
- Experienced in recruiting and building AI-capable cross-functional teams.
- At least eight years of relevant industrial experience, including a minimum of three years in product management roles.
- Demonstrated experience shepherding a product throughout its entire lifecycle.
- Capability in developing and scaling AI-native approaches, including evaluation and data strategies across teams.
- Strong analytical skills managing large-scale, complex datasets to inform decisions effectively.
- Leadership skills in inspiring teams and influencing across organizations.
- Excellent communicator, skilled at conveying complex technical information clearly across diverse audiences.
- Proven track record in significantly enhancing product performance and team effectiveness.
- Experience managing cross-functional product teams over full product lines, developing mission and strategy, defining requirements, coordinating resources, and successfully delivering key objectives.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in STEM fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, or Applied Sciences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in applying AI tools to redesign workflows resulting in measurable improvements like efficiency or quality gains.
- Experience in adopting and enforcing responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk assessments, bias mitigation, and quality assurance.
- Commitment to continuous AI skill enhancement, including prompt engineering and agent orchestration, with an awareness of emerging AI trends.

Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary ranges from $173,000 to $241,000, with additional bonus, equity, and benefits packages. Individual total compensation varies based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Further details regarding benefits are available internally.
