Role Summary
We seek a collaborative and innovative Product Manager with a detail-oriented mindset and a structured problem-solving approach to support a major digital transformation project. This contract role involves managing the full product lifecycle as we transition multiple legacy systems into a cohesive, integrated platform. Key projects include creating a new member portal, modernizing provider and administrative back-end experiences, and redesigning data models, pipelines, and system integrations. You will be instrumental in clarifying and maintaining continuity throughout this reimagination of both user experience and technology infrastructure.
The ideal candidate demonstrates curiosity, empathy, and the ability to navigate ambiguity to transform complex concepts into clear, actionable product requirements aligned with user and business objectives. Comfort working in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment with design, engineering, and business leads is essential. Candidates should be motivated by building new solutions while evolving existing ones and actively seek constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Guide product development throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Contribute to platform development and migration of legacy products into a unified system spanning front-end, back-end, and data layers on both desktop and mobile
- Support data and integration initiatives, including evolving data models, pipelines, and workflows
- Define and document user stories and detailed acceptance criteria using tools such as JIRA
- Work with stakeholders to build business cases outlining product requirements, priorities, and success metrics
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and QA teams to deliver enhanced portal experiences for members, providers, and administrators
- Assist with backlog management, sprint planning, and comprehensive product documentation
- Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps during platform transitions and release cycles
- Drive continuous improvement of product development processes and workflows
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1 to 3 years of product management experience
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
- Ability to convert business needs into clear, actionable requirements
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
- Proven track record supporting product development in complex or evolving system environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, JIRA, Confluence, Figma, and similar tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG
- Experience with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR
- Salesforce platform experience
- Background working with AI/ML-enabled products or features
- Experience in digital health product development
Additional Information
Compensation: Hourly rate between $45.00 and $52.00
Work Environment: Hybrid (combination of office and remote work)
