Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning of the produce department to ensure it is customer-ready at all times.
- Regularly check product freshness by rotating stock and removing expired items to guarantee quality.
- Ensure all produce items are accurately priced and properly signed, following correct protocols for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, labels, and signage.
- Adhere to food safety protocols, including sanitation practices, cold chain management, temperature monitoring, and proper handling aligned with sell-by and expiration dates.
- Stock and downstock products as needed, apply product protection measures, and arrange modular displays and shelf caps to maintain a full and appealing produce section.
- Comply with all health and safety policies to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
- Be adaptable to varied work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as per business demand.
Challenges
- Manage large volumes of restocking efficiently in a high-paced environment, including overnight shifts requiring careful energy and time management.
- Physically demanding tasks such as standing for prolonged periods, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs., alongside repetitive stocking and zoning activities requiring attention to detail.

Compensation
