Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and properly zoned produce section available for customers at all times.
• Regularly check and rotate produce items to ensure quality and freshness, removing expired goods promptly.
• Ensure accurate pricing and signage, abiding by procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, and labeling.
• Comply with food safety standards including handling, sanitation, cold chain requirements, and performing temperature monitoring.
• Stock and downstock produce merchandise as needed, applying product protection measures and arranging modular displays to keep the department fully stocked.
• Adhere to health and safety policies to maintain a safe, clean workspace.
• Demonstrate schedule flexibility by working varied shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands.

Challenges of the Role

• Effectively manage high workload volumes in a fast-paced environment and overnight shifts while maintaining energy and focus.
• Perform physically demanding activities including standing for long durations, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs, occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Carry out repetitive stocking, zoning, and organizing tasks with strong attention to detail to meet store standards consistently.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $16.45 per hour.
