Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the produce area clean, orderly, and clearly arranged to ensure it is customer-ready at all times.
• Regularly rotate produce and remove expired items to guarantee product freshness and quality.
• Ensure all produce items are correctly priced and displayed according to established processes for ordering, clearances, markups, markdowns, labels, and signage.
• Adhere strictly to food safety practices including sanitation, cold chain management, temperature monitoring, proper food handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Stock and downstock inventory as necessary, safeguard products when required, and arrange modular displays including flexible modulars and shelf caps to keep the department fully supplied.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations to support a safe and clean working environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by being open to various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands.

Challenges in the Role

• Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during overnight hours, maintaining energy and concentration.
• Handle physically demanding duties such as standing for long durations, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive stocking, zoning, and organizing functions to maintain consistency and store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.45.
