Role Overview

The Procurement Manager will manage sourcing requests from our Central Procurement Team and ensure cost-efficient procurement across multiple product categories. This role demands a proactive, commercially savvy individual skilled in Dubai's trading market, adept in price negotiations, supplier management, and overseeing multiple vendor relationships concurrently.

Key Responsibilities

• Promptly handle procurement requests from HQ, ensuring organized execution
• Identify and assess suppliers, wholesalers, and manufacturers across UAE and international markets
• Secure competitive quotes, evaluating suppliers based on cost, quality, lead time, and reliability
• Develop and maintain a trusted supplier network spanning F&B, hospitality, and construction sectors
• Constantly perform market analysis in Dubai to track pricing trends and uncover new suppliers
• Create sourcing strategies leveraging UAE free zones like Jebel Ali and Dubai South for efficient re-export
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery details to optimize costs without sacrificing quality
• Set up advantageous commercial agreements with key vendors
• Manage purchase orders from approval to delivery, monitoring status and addressing any delays, shortages, or quality concerns
• Keep thorough procurement records and audit trails for all transactions
• Coordinate with HQ procurement, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to ensure consolidated shipments to the Maldives while complying with export and import regulations
• Utilize ERP and procurement software, such as BirchStreet Systems, to track procurement activities
• Report procurement updates regularly to the headquarters team

Candidate Profile

• 4 to 5 years of procurement or supply chain experience
• At least 2 years engaged with UAE supplier markets
• Demonstrated sourcing expertise in F&B, hospitality supplies, or construction materials
• Hands-on experience managing full procurement cycle, from RFQ to delivery
• Strong negotiation capabilities and commercial acumen to achieve cost-effective agreements
• In-depth understanding of Dubai's trading environment and supplier landscape
• Knowledge of UAE export procedures, import documentation, and Incoterms
• Experience with ERP or procurement management tools
• Meticulous organization skills and attention to detail; able to juggle multiple procurement requests effectively
• Excellent communication and coordination skills working with suppliers, logistics, and internal teams
