Role Overview
Larsen & Toubro is hiring for plant operations roles in Vadodara, Gujarat, for industrial water treatment facilities. The requirement covers two positions for Plant Manager and two positions for Supervisor in water treatment operations, with a focus on reliable plant performance, process compliance, and coordination with maintenance and client teams.
Plant Manager - 2 Positions
The Plant Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of an industrial water treatment plant, making sure output meets the agreed quality and quantity standards. The role requires a Chemical Engineering degree and 8 to 10 years of overall experience, including at least 3 years in refinery environments. Strong hands-on exposure to RO, RO pretreatment, DM plants, CPU, ETP, and ZLD/MEE systems is essential.
- Track daily plant operations for RO and DM systems and ensure production targets are achieved.
- Apply knowledge of plant operation, maintenance practices, chemical dosing and optimization, quality checks, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to support smooth, uninterrupted operations.
- Follow company policies, EHS and safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Maintain clean assets and work areas and help train site operations staff.
Supervisor - DM Plant & ZLD - 2 Positions
The Supervisor role is meant for candidates with a Degree or Diploma in Chemical and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in industrial water treatment operations. The work involves shift-wise monitoring of RO, DM, and ZLD operations, along with regular coordination between operations, maintenance, and the client.
- Oversee shift operations of RO, DM, and ZLD systems to ensure production meets contractual standards for quality and quantity.
- Work with operations and maintenance teams to meet contractual obligations and share updates with the client on a daily basis.
- Prepare and submit daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Support maintenance coordination for stable and trouble-free plant operation.
- Comply with company policies, EHS and safety norms, and quality requirements.
- Keep the work area and plant assets clean and assist in training the site operations team.
Functional Experience
Candidates should have practical experience in industrial water treatment plant operations, especially with Reverse Osmosis, RO pretreatment, Demineralisation, condensate polishing, Effluent Treatment, and Zero Liquid Discharge systems using MEE.
