Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join our academic department in Doha, Qatar. This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Assistant Head of Primary. The role involves delivering engaging lessons, fostering student growth, and contributing to curriculum development within a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver well-organized lessons that cater to diverse student needs using various teaching methods to encourage inquiry, creativity, independence, critical thinking, and collaboration.
  • Maintain high standards for student learning, behavior, and personal responsibility while creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment based on positive relationships and respect.
  • Incorporate technology effectively to enhance learning and develop essential digital competencies.
  • Promote student ownership of learning through goal-setting and reflection.
  • Implement school-aligned behavior management and restorative practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan coherent grade-level programs ensuring skill progression and contribute to curriculum review and enhancement.
  • Integrate cross-curricular, real-world, and global learning opportunities while supporting multilingual development.
  • Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor progress, guide instruction, and maintain accurate student records.
  • Provide constructive feedback and adapt teaching to meet varied learner needs including EAL, SEN, and advanced students.
  • Partner with Inclusion and pastoral teams to address academic and social-emotional needs.
  • Engage in professional development, team collaboration, and school initiatives to foster continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and participate in community and school events to support student progress and school reputation.
  • Uphold safeguarding, health, and safety policies including child protection and student supervision during school activities.

Personal and Professional Conduct

  • Demonstrate respectful, culturally aware, and ethical behavior consistent with school policies and local context.
  • Maintain confidentiality, uphold professional boundaries, and promote student dignity and safety.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Primary teaching qualification recognized by the Qatar Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE).
  • Certification in teaching recognized by Qatar MoEHE.
  • Training in Child Protection and Safeguarding or willingness to complete upon hiring.
  • At least three years of successful experience teaching primary students; international or multicultural school experience is preferred.

  • Ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners effectively.
