Pricing Associate

About the Role

Join AIA NZ as a Pricing Associate, where your efforts will help create sustainable and customer-centric pricing strategies for Corporate Solutions and Retail sectors. This role involves working in close partnership with pricing teams, underwriting, legal, brokers, reinsurers, and distribution to prepare quotes, conduct rate reviews, and perform data analyses that underpin confident business decisions and positive client results. You'll have the opportunity to enhance your technical skills, foster strong stakeholder relationships, and engage in continuous improvement efforts within a collaborative environment that prizes accuracy, inquisitiveness, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately produce quotations, installations, and rate reviews that enable excellent client outcomes and high service standards.
• Interpret data from diverse sources to generate actionable insights that guide pricing strategies.
• Partner with internal departments, brokers, reinsurers, and legal to ensure pricing solutions meet both customer and business requirements.
• Assist with pricing calculations and product-related inquiries, delivering timely resolutions to complex challenges.
• Participate in system testing and data validation to uphold quality, precision, and smooth operational performance.
• Spot opportunities to enhance process efficiency, improve pricing controls, and reinforce risk management practices.

Candidate Profile

• Possess strong analytical capabilities, enjoying working with data to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently to a wide range of stakeholders.
• Exhibit a collaborative mindset, effectively balancing multiple priorities while fostering positive relationships.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and take ownership to consistently meet deadlines.
• Be proficient in spreadsheet applications and data tools with attention to detail to support accurate analysis and reporting.
• Prior experience in life insurance, underwriting, pricing, group administration, or quantitative disciplines such as mathematics, statistics, or engineering is advantageous.
