About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to be based in New Plymouth, Palmerston North, or Tauranga, allowing flexibility according to your preference. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Power Assets Manager to oversee the lifecycle management of Powerco's key primary and secondary substation assets, which are critical to maintaining electricity services for over 350,000 customers. You will lead the Power Assets Team and contribute as a member of the Network Assets Lead Team, applying advanced asset management tools such as Copperleaf to ensure a safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy supply.

Core Responsibilities

  • Act as a vital member of the Network Assets Lead Team by promoting initiatives aligned with Powerco's vision and mission.
  • Lead the Power Assets Team in implementing lifecycle asset management strategies for primary and secondary substations as detailed in the AMP26 plan.
  • Participate actively in the development and upkeep of the Lifecycle Asset Management System.

Candidate Profile

Ideal applicants will possess a strong background in the electricity sector including more than ten years of related experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and expertise in asset management or investment planning. Proven leadership experience and a compelling mix of technical, commercial, and risk management skills are essential. Effective communication and the ability to collaborate with diverse internal teams and external stakeholders are critical to succeed in this role.
