Role Overview

The Mortgage Post Closing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of trailing loan documents, delivering loan files to investors, and clearing investor conditions to facilitate efficient loan sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle incoming trailing documents while keeping precise records on loan file statuses and outcomes.
• Execute data entry tasks and generate reports within the Loan Origination System.
• Conduct weekly follow-ups with settlement companies and legal offices to obtain missing or outstanding documentation.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of mortgage loan documentation necessary to resolve post-closing deficiencies, such as trailing documents, recorded security instruments, and final title policies.
• Collaborate with investors and internal teams to resolve defects in mortgage/Deed of Trust documents or Final Title Policies.
• Audit closed loan files prior to shipping them to investors.
• Promptly address suspense conditions issued by investors.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mortgage operations.
• Background in processing or underwriting is advantageous.
• Experience with loan documentation and title work.
• Familiarity with Encompass, DU, and LP software preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

For transparency, the company provides a salary range for this position, which is $45,000 to $66,000 annually. Compensation is determined based on experience, capability, and organizational requirements and may vary by job location.
