Role Overview
This position is focused on managing and controlling solar power project schedules and operations, ensuring alignment with commissioning timelines and cluster-wide coordination. The role involves integrated project planning, compliance with SOPs and audits, real-time progress monitoring, risk identification, stakeholder collaboration, and oversight of execution and contractor activities.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead integrated project scheduling in line with commissioning deadlines.
- Track and monitor daily to weekly project progress, ensuring milestones are met.
- Proactively identify delays and implement recovery strategies.
- Guarantee implementation of PMAG SOPs, workflows, and standardized reporting.
- Serve as the site-level project assurance custodian, upholding internal controls and documentation standards.
- Develop real-time tracking mechanisms for physical progress and deliver structured MIS reports for leadership review.
- Maintain data accuracy, transparency, and discipline in project information.
- Identify potential risks and obstacles ahead of time, escalating critical issues promptly to management.
- Facilitate resolution of cross-functional challenges and ensure alignment across projects in the cluster.
- Collaborate effectively with site teams, corporate departments, PMC, and EPC stakeholders.
- Provide leadership with integrated visibility into cluster-level activities and progress.
- Oversee project planning, tracking, and reporting together with PMC/EPC teams.
- Ensure compliance with schedule, quality, and deliverables commitments.
- Maintain timely updates in project management systems like Primavera P6 and related dashboards.
- Support digital transformation initiatives at the site to enhance project management efficiency.
- Monitor interdependencies among projects, optimizing resource allocation throughout the lifecycle until handover to operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- Preference given to candidates holding an MBA or postgraduate qualification in Project Management.
- 10 to 14 years of proven experience in project planning and execution, particularly in renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong background in managing multiple projects or clusters.
- Experience with solar energy projects and coordination between EPC and PMC contractors is advantageous.
