Key Responsibilities

  • Provide placement assistance to Industrial Training Institutes (ITI), National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs), and Vocational Training Institutes (VTIs).
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of employers through networking with companies and industry organizations.
  • Compile placement and workshop reports and ensure timely submission for review and database entry.
  • Ensure availability and accuracy of relevant data within set deadlines.
  • Support program implementation partners in planning, conducting, and monitoring industry engagement activities.
  • Train and empower implementation partners to effectively organize placement-related functions at their respective institutes.
  • Lead the execution of placement strategies and plans regionally, including preparing annual placement activity calendars in coordination with regional teams.
  • Organize employer engagement events, such as talks, walk-ins, campus drives, and placement fairs.
  • Own and achieve placement targets according to project requirements.
  • Manage and review Industry Connect Fellows' engagements through regular communication.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with company representatives, industry bodies, and placement officers.
  • Explore and facilitate avenues like apprenticeships, internships, on-the-job training, and career connect events with current and potential employers consistently.
  • Support state teams in organizing job readiness boot camps and co-facilitating placement sessions.
  • Maintain and share reports as per program needs.
  • Be willing to travel frequently within the region as work demands.
  • Coordinate and facilitate capacity-building sessions for placement officers at ITIs and VTIs, including orientation on placement systems and demonstrations of industry engagement activities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • A graduate degree in Social Work, Management, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in placement coordination, recruitment, youth skilling, or work within ITI/vocational training environments.
  • Experience with government institutions, skilling initiatives, or non-government organizations is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across districts and regions.
  • Familiarity with placement processes and experience engaging industries for recruitment.
  • Excellent coordination and relationship management abilities with institutions and partners.
  • Proven experience delivering employability skills and soft skills training.
  • Competency in data collection and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across institutes and geographic locations.
  • Self-driven, organized, and focused on delivering results.
  • A strong passion for youth empowerment and skilling ecosystems.
