Physician Associate

Job Overview

Coastal Medical Ltd is recruiting multiple Physician Associates across various locations in Taranaki, New Zealand, including Ōpunake, Ōakura, Stratford, and New Plymouth. Positions are available in permanent and fixed-term contracts with flexible full-time and part-time options. The remuneration ranges between $135,000 and $155,000 full-time equivalent, commensurate with experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments.
• Develop diagnostic and treatment plans for patients.
• Manage both acute and chronic health conditions.
• Implement preventative healthcare strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records under GP supervision.

Candidate Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Associate Studies or an equivalent qualification recognized in New Zealand.
• Be eligible and authorized to practise as a Physician Associate in New Zealand.
• Demonstrate proficient clinical skills and effective communication abilities.
• Commit to practicing in a culturally safe and respectful manner.
