Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to conduct patient sample collections and manage specimen processing in a home collection setting. This position is part of the Field Operations team within the Collection Operations department, located across various locations, primarily Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform blood and rapid test sample collections from customers and patients.
- Ensure specimen integrity by adhering to aseptic techniques and established protocols.
- Verify patient identity by checking documentation thoroughly.
- Extract blood using venipuncture and finger-stick methods.
- Conduct blood analysis with proper testing equipment as required.
- Label and prepare specimens correctly for safe transportation, confirming accurate patient matches.
- Maintain detailed logs of patient data, blood volumes drawn, and diagnostic outcomes.
- Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment related to blood collection and testing.
- Collect and tag specimens strictly following medical requisition instructions.
- Package each specimen securely for transport.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year and up to 10 years of experience in phlebotomy or sample collection domains.
- Certified with Diploma or Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT/MLT).
- Thorough knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, test protocols, and biomedical waste management.
- Strong communication abilities in both verbal and written forms.
- Proficient with basic computer skills.
- Ability to provide excellent patient service, answer queries, and support patient engagement with medical services.
- Valid driving license and ownership of a two-wheeler mandatory due to travel requirements for home collections.
- Willingness to travel extensively for sample collection visits.
Terms and Compensation
- Salary ranges from ₹20,000 to ₹27,000 monthly, with an annual package up to ₹3.6 Lakhs plus ₹3.5 per kilometer travel allowance.
- Work hours involve rotational shifts from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
