About RNLI
RNLI is a dedicated charity focused on saving lives at sea around the clock. This role serves the Ireland Region, with the Philanthropy Team aiming to engage individuals passionate about supporting life-saving initiatives through major gifts. The team is preparing to launch a significant £150 million capital campaign, offering many impactful donor projects within Ireland.
Role Overview
The Philanthropy Manager will be based remotely in Ireland and is responsible for managing a portfolio of 70-90 major donors, cultivating relationships, and securing significant financial contributions that may range from five to seven figures. The role involves devising compelling support cases aligned with donor interests, organizing select engagement and recognition events, and delivering excellent stewardship and customer service.

Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates are personable, enthusiastic about relationship-building, and skilled in persuading and engaging stakeholders. Effective communication across diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders, donors, and team members, is essential. The role requires self-motivation, adaptability to flexible working hours, and occasional travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
Key Requirements
- Ability to access the regional base in Swords and primarily develop relationships around the East region, especially Dublin, with travel across Ireland
- Proven experience in account management and nurturing strong individual relationships, with an emphasis on excellent customer service
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and the ability to manage meetings and adjust communication styles accordingly
- Strong numerical aptitude including preparing and presenting financial data with confidence and clarity
- Valid driving license is mandatory
