Role overview
This opportunity is with a long-running, family-operated insurance brokerage in Drogheda, County Louth. The team is seeking a Personal & Commercial Lines Executive who is comfortable with variety, keen to develop, and interested in a collaborative workplace where long-term growth is encouraged.
The position combines personal lines and commercial lines work, with the split depending on your background. If your experience is stronger in personal lines, you will be developed into commercial lines. If you already have commercial experience, you will still support personal lines when required.
What you will do
- Manage existing policies, new business submissions and mid-term adjustments.
- Handle renewals, market re-marketing activity and placement negotiations.
- Review policy documents, wording and endorsements.
- Deliver courteous, professional service to clients.
- Take ownership of cases from initial contact through to completion.
- Maintain compliance standards throughout all tasks.
This role offers broad exposure across both personal and commercial insurance work rather than limiting you to one narrow stream, creating a strong foundation for a long-term career.
Candidate profile
The brokerage is looking for someone with experience in a broker setting, good communication, strong organisation and a careful eye for detail. You should be able to work on your own initiative as well as contribute effectively within a small team. The ideal background is around 2 to 5 years in personal lines, commercial lines, or both.
APA is the minimum requirement, and working toward CIP would be ideal. Relay experience is also required.

Compensation is based on experience, with a package of €35,000 to €55,000 plus a quarterly bonus. Additional benefits include pension contributions of up to 5%, death in service cover and 25 days of annual leave.
