Role Overview

St. Joseph's School in Simcoe is hiring a permanent caretaker for a full-time 1.0 FTE position. The job runs 40 hours per week across 12 months of the year, with an afternoon schedule from 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm. The start date is yet to be confirmed.

What You Will Do

  • Keep the school or assigned area clean, hygienic, and safe.

  • Experience operating tools and machinery such as power tools, hand tools, floor machines, and lawn maintenance equipment is required, along with the ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, scissor-lifts, and man-lifts.
  • Comfort working in a computerized environment, including data entry, internet use, e-mail, and software programs, is expected.
  • Strong people skills are needed to work effectively with supervisors, plant staff, teachers, students, and contractors.
