About the Organization
The client is a pediatrician-led, tech-enabled medical group dedicated to delivering comprehensive care for children with special healthcare needs. They provide round-the-clock virtual-first and in-home medical, behavioral, and social services and collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and health plans to strengthen care teams and improve access to quality care.
Role Overview
The People Operations Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the HR function by administering HRIS and assisting with payroll operations. This position ensures data accuracy and compliance, generates reports, resolves payroll issues, and acts as a payroll processing backup to maintain seamless HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage HRIS systems ensuring accurate employee records throughout their tenure.
- Maintain organizational data including job positions, compensation details, and employee files.
- Produce HR, payroll, and workforce analytics and conduct data audits regularly.
- Identify and resolve HRIS-related issues, and aid in system upgrades and process enhancements.
- Serve as the primary backup for payroll preparation, validation, audits, and adjustments.
- Keep payroll records up to date and collaborate with Finance, managers, and employees to resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws and regulations.
- Address employee questions related to benefits and manage benefits administration tasks.
- Support benefits enrollment, changes due to life events, and termination procedures.
- Facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding and manage transactions throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Draft HR correspondence and maintain personnel documentation.
- Respond to inquiries on HR policies, payroll, benefits, and HRIS systems.
- Assist with HR initiatives, compliance activities, vendor management, and audit preparation while maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a comparable field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits Administration, or related areas.
- Preferred experience in payroll processing support or serving as payroll backup.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
