Position Overview
Join Novo Nordisk as a Payer Evidence & Pricing Manager in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping evidence and pricing strategies that enable access to life-changing treatments. This role focuses on steering pre-launch market access, evidence generation, and pricing initiatives for new product launches in the Saudi Arabian market, ensuring sustainable patient access across the Novo Nordisk portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning of evidence generation by pinpointing gaps and designing health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) projects involving diverse economic modeling techniques to aid payer decision-making.
- Formulate and suggest pricing strategies for product launches based on in-depth analysis of market conditions, competitor behaviors, reimbursement systems, affordability, and potential access challenges.
- Identify and engage with stakeholders including public and private payers, reimbursement agencies, and healthcare providers to assess access requirements and turn insights into pragmatic launch strategies.
- Develop evidence-backed value propositions and supporting materials articulating clinical, economic, and system-level benefits of new products for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical, Regulatory, Commercial, Finance, and Market Access partners to coordinate launch readiness, ensuring tracking of milestones and mitigation of risks.
- Assist in preparing price business cases, reimbursement submissions, and relevant market access documentation aligned with organizational goals and local payer expectations.
- Continuously monitor healthcare policies, health technology assessment (HTA) developments, and pricing regulations to assess and influence launch planning proactively.
About the Department
You will be part of International Operations, Novo Nordisk’s largest unit covering 194 countries and serving 35 million patients daily. Within this, you will join the Market Access and Health Economics team in Saudi Arabia reporting to the Associate Director Market Access and Health Economics. This team champions access and reimbursement success for Novo Nordisk products by integrating evidence, pricing, policy, and payer engagement strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Economics, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degrees such as MSc, MBA, PharmD, or PhD are advantageous.
- At least five years of professional experience in market access, pricing, reimbursement, HEOR, or evidence generation within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industries.
- Proven ability in pre-launch planning, pricing strategy development, reimbursement preparedness, or crafting payer-directed evidence for new product introductions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s healthcare system, HTA procedures, reimbursement frameworks, and the role of clinical, economic, and real-world evidence in access decision-making.
- Exceptional skills in collaborating across functions to align varied stakeholders on launch priorities and convey value propositions using evidence-based arguments.
- Preferred experience managing external agencies, service providers, or research collaborators.
