Part-Time Remote Editorial Assistant

Overview

Radio Ink is looking for a part-time Editorial Assistant to work remotely, supporting both its daily digital news coverage and monthly print magazine production as the newsroom expands its workflow and organizational systems.

Key Duties

• Crafting and publishing daily news articles that are accurate, clear, and adhere to Radio Ink’s editorial style.
• Monitoring and researching industry news across regulation, corporate developments, audience measurement, and technology sectors.
• Identifying emerging stories and flagging important topics for coverage.
• Providing organizational support for the monthly print magazine, such as tracking editorial content, managing contributor submissions, assisting deadline coordination, and supporting workflows for long-form feature articles and special editions.

Working Environment

This fully remote role offers flexible hours, but the candidate must be responsive to breaking news and industry updates. The candidate should be adept at working under tight deadlines with minimal oversight in a fast-paced journalistic environment.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated ability to write compelling headlines and maintain high news judgment standards.
• Experience with WordPress content management and SEO best practices.
• Proficient in sourcing industry news and press releases, ensuring accuracy in all reporting.
• Familiarity with the radio, audio, podcasting, or media industries is preferred but not mandatory if the candidate possesses strong trade journalism skills.

Additional Information

The Editorial Assistant will collaborate directly with the Editor-in-Chief and gain exposure to major industry news and executive interviews throughout the year.
