Order Management Analyst - Moulding & Hot Runner

About the Role

This position is for an Order Management Specialist focused on the moulding and hot runner sector, based at the Balingen site in Germany. The specialist will oversee the precise and timely setup of material and product codes alongside customer orders, ensuring flawless order data management and resolving exceptions swiftly. Acting as the operational bridge, the role links local plant stakeholders with offshore teams in India and Romania to enable seamless, end-to-end order management processes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Generate and maintain material and product codes, as well as customer orders, within the ERP or order management platform.
• Confirm the accuracy of technical details such as product configurations, engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications prior to order release.
• Engage collaboratively with sales, engineering, planning, and procurement teams on-site to address order discrepancies and clarify requirements.
• Coordinate daily workflows with offshore locations, ensuring adherence to SLAs, priority setting, and timely query resolution.
• Manage order exception cases from start to finish while keeping stakeholders informed with status reports.
• Uphold strict data quality and comply with processes consistently.
• Drive improvements in order creation and product code management workflows.
• Compile operational reports, updates, and metrics for both local and global leadership stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Technical education such as an Engineering degree, diploma, technician certification, or comparable hands-on expertise.
• Seven to twelve years of professional experience in the mould, tooling, or hot runner industries.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and BOMs with ease.
• Proficiency with technical product specifications and hands-on experience in order and code management within ERP systems.
• Fluent German at C2/native level and strong professional English communication skills.
• Willingness and availability to work full-time on-site in Balingen.
• Experience collaborating across cultures and global time zones with geographically distributed teams.

Preferred Expertise

• In-depth knowledge of hot runner systems, mould components, and tooling manufacturing.
• Familiarity with leading hot runner suppliers and manufacturing processes.
• Experience managing coordination with offshore delivery centers, especially in India and Romania.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong problem resolution capability.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management, communication skills, and process improvement experience.
