Position Overview

The Digital Technology Services (DTS) division is expanding its capabilities in Oracle PeopleSoft implementations by seeking a skilled Technical Consultant specializing in Campus Solutions. This role requires active involvement in development tasks including system customizations, upgrades, enhancements, third-party integrations, issue resolution in production, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) through to go-live. The position demands onsite presence in Lahore and collaboration within a multi-disciplinary delivery team comprising functional consultants and client representatives.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a results-driven PeopleSoft developer with 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience focused on Campus Solutions. This is a technical role necessitating the ability to independently convert functional requirements into technical solutions including design and deployment. Proficiency across PeopleTools versions 8.57 to 8.62 and fluency in both Fluid and Classic interface development are essential. Experience integrating PeopleSoft with external systems like payment gateways and learning management platforms is required, alongside strong reporting skills using BI Publisher, PS Query, and SQR.

Domain knowledge of higher education modules such as Admissions, Student Records, Student Financials, Curriculum Management, Academic Advisement, and Campus Community will enable quick contribution and effective client communication. Key personal qualities include dependability, clear communication, organized problem-solving, discipline in UAT management and defect resolution, and the ability to liaise effectively with functional teams and stakeholders. Mentorship or leadership experience in guiding junior developers or managing delivery streams is considered a plus.

Technical Requirements

• Expertise in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2 and PeopleTools versions 8.57 to 8.62
• Strong skills in PeopleCode, Application Engine, and Application Packages development
• Experience creating Component Interfaces, custom records, pages, and components
• Proficiency in Fluid and Classic UI customization
• Development of Integration Broker services, including REST, SOAP web services, file-based, and SFTP interfaces
• Working knowledge of Approval Workflow Engine (AWE) for process management
• Development of reports using BI Publisher, PS Query, and SQR
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL with abilities in query tuning and analysis
• Competence in data migration, conversion, and reconciliation during system implementations and upgrades

Additional Skills Desirable

• Familiarity with PeopleSoft Financials or Human Capital Management modules
• Experience integrating with learning management systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Koha
• Experience updating customizations through PeopleTools version upgrades
• Prior engagement with clients from GCC or international university sectors
• Experience mentoring junior team members or leading technical workstreams

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom PeopleSoft components and enhancements based on business requirements
• Develop and maintain integrations between PeopleSoft and various third-party applications
• Create and maintain batch processing jobs with validation, data transformation, and error handling capabilities
• Support data migration activities and validate results in implementation and upgrade projects
• Provide production support including root cause analysis and devising permanent fixes
• Facilitate UAT activities, oversee defect resolution, and manage deployment through various environments
• Work closely with functional consultants to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
