Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Oracle Database Administrator to join our team based in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires hands-on responsibility for installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle databases and associated tools. The role demands vigilant monitoring and enhancement of database performance, ensuring system availability, and upholding robust security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade Oracle databases along with related applications.
• Monitor database operations to optimize performance and ensure availability.
• Manage storage arrangements, backup procedures, and develop disaster recovery solutions.
• Conduct routine database tuning and health assessments.
• Develop and maintain documents, procedures, and standards related to database management.
• Implement and oversee data replication and high availability systems.
• Collaborate with both development and infrastructure teams to refine database design and efficiency.
• Address and resolve database issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain adherence to security protocols and privacy regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent discipline.
• Experience of 1 to 2 years in Oracle database administration within a production setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of Oracle RDBMS structure and administration tools.
• Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance tuning methods.
• Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager and database monitoring utilities.
• Awareness of underlying network, storage, and server frameworks related to database systems.
• Capability to function independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
