Job Overview
This pivotal role commands the leadership, culture, and strategic direction of multiple store locations within the cafe chain. You will be responsible for fostering team engagement, driving brand growth and expansion, securing new store locations, and ensuring exceptional brand and customer experiences. Your leadership will revolve around delivering excellence in team cohesion, guest satisfaction, and quality standards while embodying core company values daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement operational strategies aligning with the brand’s identity and market positioning.
- Set, monitor, and adjust operational objectives, staying attuned to the latest industry developments and best practices.
- Lead and manage branch managers and the overall retail store team, guiding performance to deliver the brand story and superior customer experience.
- Establish clear team and individual objectives to drive accountability and results.
- Analyze financial data at store and country levels to develop and execute plans that achieve key performance indicators.
- Forecast sales accurately across yearly, seasonal, monthly, weekly, and daily horizons, supporting comprehensive P&L planning.
- Develop annual budgets and detailed operating plans; present monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue, profit, and cash targets.
- Drive business growth through proposing partnerships and collaborative planning initiatives.
- Ensure all company policies and legal regulations relating to safety, security, and stability are strictly followed.
- Maintain high standards of quality, customer service, and health and safety within stores.
- Exercise strong judgment to anticipate challenges, resolve issues effectively, and communicate with Retail Operations management accordingly.
- Ensure stores' appearance and product displays align with corporate planograms.
- Oversee stock management and make informed stock control decisions.
- Initiate and recommend special promotions, displays, and events to stimulate sales.
- Stay informed on local market trends, competitors’ activities, and customer initiatives to keep the stores competitive.
- Adjust operational aspects such as store hours, staffing, and stock density to optimize market competitiveness.
- Engage with local authorities, media, shopping malls, and community groups to reinforce brand presence.
- Develop processes to identify and capitalize on new business growth opportunities.
- Manage all daily operational requirements and activities.
Project Management
- Oversee projects from concept design to occupancy, reviewing designs and resolving issues.
- Represent the company in project meetings to ensure alignment and resource availability.
- Coordinate timely provision of information, designs, and materials to construction teams.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience within the coffee or cafe industry.
- Proven track record in launching and managing projects from inception, including brand development or establishing a cafe chain.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma.
- Exceptional skills in reporting, organization, networking, and data analysis.
