Job Overview

We have an excellent opportunity for an Operations Analyst to join our Implementation Services team. In this role, you will support daily operations related to Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), and sanctions compliance, alongside providing general operational assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform identity verification and checks.
• Monitor transactions for suspicious activity.
• Conduct Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD).
• Carry out name screening and adverse media checks.
• Handle inbound calls and customer communication.
• Investigate and assess customer risk thoroughly.
• Ensure quality assurance in operational processes.
• Assess Unusual Activity Reports (UAR) and lodge Suspicious Matter Reports (SMR) via AUSTRAC online.
• Provide general operational support to the team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Financial Services, Accounting, Law or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Have 1 to 3 years experience working in AML/CTF.
• Demonstrate solid understanding of AML/CTF regulations.
• Exhibit strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Be a proactive self-starter capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality rigorously.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Build and maintain positive relationships within teams and clients.
• Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level.
