MRO Sourcing Buyer

Role Overview

As an MRO Sourcing Buyer, you will be responsible for managing procurement and supply chain activities related to Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) products within our clients' networks. Acting as the central liaison between the operations team, end-users, and a wide array of specialized suppliers, your objective is to obtain top-quality indirect materials — such as spare parts, safety equipment, and janitorial supplies — at competitive prices. This role emphasizes ensuring uninterrupted operations through effective inventory control and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and onboard qualified suppliers to meet diverse MRO requirements of the business and its clients.
• Negotiate contracts including pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions to secure ongoing cost reductions and added value.
• Manage procurement processes: handle purchase requests, issue RFQs, create purchase orders, and reconcile invoices accurately.
• Monitor order progress, oversee spare parts inventory levels to prevent excess or shortages of essential consumables.
• Evaluate vendor performance by tracking metrics like timely deliveries, quality standards, and lead times, and implement improvements to supplier performance.
• Collaborate closely with local sales teams and customers for supply forecasting and to generate business value.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or Industrial disciplines.
• Two to five or more years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably with MRO exposure.
• Proficient in ERP systems, customer portals, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical capabilities for lifecycle cost assessment.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, with a preference for bilingual fluency in English and Arabic to build sustained supplier relationships and handle stakeholder communications.
• Thorough knowledge of the MRO market both within Saudi Arabia and globally.
