Role Summary
The Mortgage Compliance Analyst plays an essential role in reviewing and validating data within the Home Loans Loan Origination System (LOS) for accurate HMDA reporting. This position requires collaborative efforts across various business units to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks. The role embraces a proactive approach to resolving issues promptly and implementing safeguards to prevent future occurrences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough validation of HMDA data on loan applications to guarantee regulatory compliance and data accuracy.
- Apply structured problem-solving techniques to investigate operational challenges, pinpoint root causes, and develop effective, long-lasting solutions to risk matters.
- Assess process risks and design controls to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements for process modifications and system improvements oriented towards risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to create and support automated testing scenarios that validate system changes and reduce post-implementation defects.
Qualifications
- Experience in mortgage industry environments.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
- Adept in managing relationships across diverse mortgage stakeholders.
- Preferably experienced in handling risk-related issues.
- Familiarity with automated testing processes.
