We are looking for an imaginative, personable, and highly skilled Mixologist to join our team, crafting beverage experiences that are fresh, rooted in local culture, and distinctly aligned with the Andaz brand. Mastery of cocktail techniques is essential, yet the true magic comes from personality, presentation flair, and a deep sense of place.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and serve both classic and innovative cocktails maintaining exceptional quality standards.
• Create and update seasonal beverage menus inspired by the Gold Coast's local produce and heritage.
• Innovate with ingredients, garnishes, and presentation styles to craft unique and memorable drinks.
• Offer genuine, warm, and unscripted guest interactions.
• Communicate the story behind each cocktail with confidence and authenticity.
• Provide expert recommendations tailored to guests’ preferences.
• Support beverage tastings, promotional activations, special events, and unique experiences.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge about spirits, wines, beers, non-alcoholic drinks, and emerging trends.
• Mentor bar staff by providing training, tastings, and product education.
• Ensure the bar area remains organized, clean, and well-stocked at all times.
• Assist with stock management, ordering, inventory checks, and cost control measures.
• Guarantee consistency in cocktail recipes, drink presentations, and service excellence.
• Adhere strictly to responsible alcohol service, food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Food and Beverage leadership to explore new ideas and increase revenue opportunities.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated experience as a mixologist, senior bartender, or specialist cocktail bartender.
• In-depth technical knowledge of spirits and cocktail preparation techniques.
• Creativity in flavor combinations, visual presentation, and beverage menu innovation.
• Excellent communication skills and dedication to delivering outstanding guest service.
• Confidence in conducting tastings, training sessions, and storytelling around beverages.
• Meticulous attention to detail ensuring quality and consistency.
• Understanding of stock control, beverage costing, and operational efficiency.
• Ability to stay calm, professional, and engaging in bustling, fast-paced environments.
• Collaborative, dependable, and generous team player mentality.
• Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Possession of a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.

Experience working in upscale hotels, premium cocktail bars, fine dining restaurants, or busy venues is highly favorable.
