Role Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our team for an enriching internship experience. This opportunity offers hands-on involvement with actual projects, learning from industry experts, and immersion in CRB’s collaborative culture. The internship aims to foster innovation, personal growth, and impactful contributions to our business practices.
Responsibilities
- Produce project deliverables such as calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Support conceptual design development and collaborate with the design team under project leadership guidance.
- Coordinate with various disciplines and engage with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, clients, and contractors.
- Conduct tasks involving load calculations, utility evaluations, energy modeling, code compliance, installation details, and specification coordination.
- Utilize computer-aided drafting and engineering software in daily activities.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
- Strong interest in the Food & Beverage or Life Sciences sectors is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with capability to analyze complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Keen motivation to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge practically.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or familiarity with HVAC systems.
- Progress toward or completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam registration.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D collaboration tools like Navisworks, BIM360 Suite, and Assemble.
- Understanding of relevant regulations and standards specific to the AEC field.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
