Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with a solid mechanical engineering background and at least 2 years of practical experience. The ideal candidate will be adept at CNC programming and skilled in using 2D and 3D CAD software to plan and implement mechanical designs. This role involves direct client interaction at customer sites and within the factory to obtain precise hand sketches for design execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client meetings on-site and inside the factory to understand and capture design requirements through hand sketches.
- Develop and execute mechanical designs using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD tools.
- Calculate technical factors such as tolerances, dimensions, and bills of materials accurately.
- Prepare detailed production drawings aligned with manufacturing needs.
- Coordinate regularly with production teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Maintain and demonstrate proficiency in using various precision measuring instruments.
- Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Manage time efficiently and organize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Knowledge and experience in CNC programming.
- Proficiency in engineering design software including AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Excellent understanding and use of measuring tools like Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, Pin Gauge, Thread Gauge, Slip Gauge, Radius Gauge, and more.
- Familiarity with workshop machinery such as Turning Centers, Cylindrical Grinders, Boring Machines (VMC, HMC), Drilling Machines, ID/OD Grinding Machines, Shearing, Polishing, Milling equipment, and MIC tools.
Additional Information
The role requires hands-on skills in mechanical measurements and machining processes to support manufacturing and production needs effectively.
Compensation
Monthly salary in the range of INR 20,000 to 40,000.
