Role Summary

We invite dedicated individuals to join us as full-time Manager Laboratory (m/f/x) based in Abuja, Nigeria, to contribute to our team’s success by leading laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all laboratory and testing operations to ensure quality and compliance.
• Provide expert advice to management and project teams regarding material engineering concerns.
• Maintain adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards within laboratory activities.
• Manage and foster the professional development and training of laboratory staff.
• Supervise the preparation and execution of testing plans, as well as accurate documentation and reporting.
• Assist in addressing and resolving any material-related non-conformities encountered.
• Collaborate and coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal project groups.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a technical certificate with at least 15 years of relevant work experience; a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Materials Engineering is advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years leading a construction materials testing laboratory when holding a bachelor's degree.
• Exhibit strong leadership abilities, effective communication, and proficient problem-solving skills.
• Capable of managing teams while juggling multiple responsibilities and meeting strict deadlines.
• Solid understanding of material testing methodologies, standards, and quality control requirements.
• Proficient in English, with a minimum language level of B2, preferably C1 or higher.
