Job Overview
The role involves crafting and managing the Interline strategy along with negotiating and establishing commercial settlement arrangements for interline and codeshare partnerships, all aimed at maximizing revenue benefits for Etihad. The position also requires collaboration with internal teams to ensure optimal use of interline and codeshare pricing.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and update revenue settlement strategies encompassing all interline and codeshare partners of Etihad.
- Lead negotiations and oversee the complete contract process, ensuring successful commercial agreement execution including SPA, RSA, BITA, and other partnership contracts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prepare for the implementation of new or modified contracts.
- Apply expert knowledge to affect decisions and activities related to airline partnerships during contract discussions.
- Communicate clearly and manage partnerships effectively, utilizing strategic and agile thinking to solve problems.
- Adhere strictly to the contract approval protocols for all finalized commercial agreements.
- Guarantee that codeshare class mappings and Chart2 filings are properly set up and advantageous to Etihad.
- Ensure precise and timely revenue settlements in cooperation with the Finance department.
- Conduct regular strategic reviews focusing on performance and identifying new partnership opportunities to enhance existing revenue streams.
- Scout and recommend potential new interline partners to expand revenue channels.
- Maintain proper process efficiencies and internal controls supported by technology, reporting, and data management.
- Engage with EY teams, external entities like IATA, and other parties to broaden industry-related knowledge.
- Oversee that EY GDS and direct sales channels fully leverage SPA and codeshare agreements to maximize revenue generation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree-level education or equivalent commercial and analytical experience.
- Qualifications in Statistics or Mathematics are advantageous but not mandatory.
- More than seven years of professional experience in the airline or relevant travel industry.
- Familiarity with Airline Settlement and Proration guidelines.
- Experience with Alliance and Interline agreements such as SPA and Codeshare agreements.
- Preferred background in pricing roles, particularly with fare construction.
