Manager Communications

About the Role

The Manager of Communications on the Corporate HR Solutions team will spearhead significant projects, events, and employee engagement initiatives linked to Progressive's HR programs. This role involves partnering with senior leaders to develop strategic plans and goals, making key decisions on communications' administrative and operational matters, and supporting executive leadership viewpoints. Moreover, the manager will drive ongoing improvements by utilizing design and technology across various campaigns and tools. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage high-profile HR initiatives and employee engagement events.
• Collaborate with senior management to create and execute strategic communication plans.
• Make final decisions regarding the administrative and operational aspects of communications efforts.
• Support executive leadership communication strategies and viewpoints.
• Enhance communication campaigns and tools through innovative design and technological applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eleven years' experience in property casualty insurance or professional experience in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing.
• At least three years of experience managing individuals and/or cross-functional teams.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or higher in Communications or related disciplines (such as Public Relations, Journalism, English, or Marketing) with eight years of professional experience in related fields, including leadership experience as noted above.

Preferred Experience

• Proven background in leading strategic HR communications and collaborating with executive leadership to align with business objectives.
• Expertise as a communications subject matter expert providing consultation, planning, and execution of business and strategic communications.
• Experience directing a full scope of HR communications efforts, including townhall presentations, videos, brochures, and speech writing.

Compensation

• Annual salary range: $98,400 to $131,200.
• Eligibility for Gainshare annual cash incentive up to 30% of eligible earnings based on company performance.
