Job description

Role Overview

This position is accountable for supporting and performing maintenance activities within the plant to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold and encourage exemplary standards in health and safety practices as well as housekeeping.
  • Collaborate daily with the Production team to address maintenance concerns and maintain all plant machinery and equipment to optimal condition.
  • Work cooperatively within the Maintenance team to develop and execute a Preventive Maintenance Programme encompassing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks to align with company objectives and maximize returns.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis and the preparation of Corrective Action Reports in partnership with supervisors, management, and pertinent personnel promptly.
  • Foster a cooperative team culture throughout the facility.
  • Ensure accurate completion of all relevant documentation following company procedures.
  • Identify hazards and risks, report them accordingly, and implement mitigation measures consistent with company standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Possession of a formal qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficient computer literacy and reasonable computer skills.
  • Demonstrable hands-on ability with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of electronics and PLC programming is a significant advantage.
  • Proven aptitude for effective problem solving.
  • Exemplary time management and attendance record.
