Logistics & Supply Chain Director

About the Role

Our client is a global pioneer in autonomous technology, operating manufacturing and service centers across China and other regions. As the company expands rapidly, they seek a Logistics & Supply Chain Director to unify and enhance logistics, raw material handling, and finished goods management for multiple sites. The current team is lean, offering significant responsibility to design processes, improve coordination across locations, and formalize the supply chain function.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all logistics, warehousing, and material management activities primarily in China and additional operational centers according to business demands.
• Manage the full lifecycle of raw materials and finished product flows to ensure material availability and efficient distribution.
• Design and streamline comprehensive logistics operations involving inbound receipt, storage, inventory control, transportation, and outbound delivery.
• Create a centralized and integrated structure for logistics and material management across multiple geographically-separated sites and teams.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, procurement, operations, financial teams, and other departments to ensure smooth supply chain delivery.
• Manage relationships with logistics service providers, including transport companies, warehouse operators, and suppliers.
• Identify and address weaknesses in current supply chain systems by implementing new processes, technological solutions, and KPIs aimed at cost reduction, enhanced efficiency, inventory control, and delivery improvements.
• Support manufacturing operations and future growth through the development of a scalable logistics and supply chain infrastructure.
• Lead and grow the logistics team, providing leadership in shaping the organization from its initial lean framework.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a closely related area.
• Have at least 8 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, material management, or related fields, preferably within manufacturing sectors.
• Demonstrate extensive expertise in managing raw materials, finished goods, warehouse operations, transportation, and comprehensive logistics flows.
• Experience coordinating operations across multiple locations or regions.
• Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing supply chains with the ability to establish efficient processes where existing systems are fragmented or in early development stages.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and oversee external logistics partners effectively.
• Exhibit strong analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and operational execution strengths.
• Preferably experienced in sectors such as automotive, robotics, autonomous vehicles, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or other tech-intensive industries.
• Flexible and adaptive to fast-paced, lean environments, with a willingness to build and scale the supply chain function alongside business growth.
