Local Service Unit HSE Manager

Position Overview

This role involves proactively steering the development and maintenance of safe working practices and safety programs within the local unit to uphold high standards in health, safety, and environmental performance. You will coach and support personnel at all levels to foster an excellent safety culture aligned with our dedication to quality and dependability.

Key Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate health and safety initiatives, procedures, and processes across the organization to ensure consistent understanding among all employees.
• Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support related to health, safety, and environmental issues.
• Exemplify and advocate adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, management systems, and guidelines.
• Oversee compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and address any nonconformance issues per procedures.
• Advise management, supervisors, and employees on accident prevention and interface with contractors and clients when necessary.
• Assist managers in risk assessments concerning workspaces, tasks, tools, and shared areas in manufacturing facilities and service locations.
• Implement and maintain a health and safety management system compliant with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards where required.
• Conduct safety and environmental audits, investigate accidents and their root causes, and supervise corrective actions.
• Track and implement standards from external bodies into internal health and safety systems.
• Guide competency-based training efforts in health, safety, and environmental matters throughout the organization.
• Ensure organizational adherence to all relevant internal and external regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
• Embody company core values focused on safety and integrity by taking responsibility for individual actions and demonstrating care for colleagues and the business.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering.
• Have at least 5 years of experience in roles related to Safety and Environmental management.
• CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification is advantageous.
• Strong grasp of health, safety, and environmental standards applicable in manufacturing settings and safety system management to control site risk.
• Hands-on experience in designing and managing safety systems with the capability to troubleshoot complex, location-specific safety challenges.
• Solid knowledge of OSHA manufacturing site regulations.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic, spoken and written, is mandatory.
