Overview
Wood is in search of a Lead Procurement Coordinator to provide support for our Projects division. This position will be integral to the establishment of a new gold mining and processing operation situated at a remote location in Saudi Arabia.
Key Duties
- Critically review EPCM contractor’s procurement plans, material requisition forms, and scheduling related to procurement.
- Facilitate and coordinate the technical analysis of vendor proposals including tabulating bids (TBE), selecting vendors, and evaluating commercial bids (CBE).
- Examine and confirm purchase orders, vendor documentation, logistics approaches, and quality assurance processes.
- Engage in and help organize factory acceptance testing, vendor inspections, and expedite procurement activities as necessary.
- Assist in overseeing the management of long-lead time items, track equipment, and resolve issues pertaining to vendors.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure the accurate and timely incorporation of vendor data into project deliverables.
Qualifications and Experience
- Deep understanding of principal contracting concepts supported by relevant industry experience.
- Proven skills in team leadership and management when applicable.
- In-depth knowledge of contract terms, contracting policies, and their practical implementation.
- Familiarity with corporate procedures, project protocols, and client contract policies.
- Experience in sectors such as Mining, Oil & Gas, EPC, or EPCM environments is essential.
- Minimum of ten years of pertinent professional experience is required.
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent professional background is a must.
- Preference is extended to Saudi nationals.
